Mimi: Wanting to Know...

Mimi's instructions have a lot to offer to those who want to know how to dance and also understand the "WHY" of doing things a certain way.

If you don't care about "why" and you just want instructions, Mimi has a set of "rules" for you to follow. If you follow them consistently, you may feel a little ackward for 2 or 3 years, but then after that you will be a good dancer, and you never even had to care to know "why!"

An example of a "WHY" follows: Mimi shows her students that the woman, *IF* she wants to follow the line of the man, *AND* still wants to keep her own posture and her own freedom of movement, *THEN* she ought to always let one knee slide BEHIND the other, never to let the feet stay side-by-side.

Similarly, if you listen to Mimi closely, you will learn the answer to such questions as *WHEN* it is useful to stretch what part of your body, to perform WHAT action?
