-Ritmo Intentsivo: workshop by tango masters Alberto Paz and Valorie Hart,
July 20-22, Tallahassee

I neglected to include information about Alberto and Valorie in my
anouncement of this weekend's workshops.

I have participated in one of their workshops and can attest that they
have a rare integration of focus on musicality with methodical approach
to teaching technique.  Alberto and Valorie are based in New Orleans.
As itinerant teachers, they are largely credited with helping the
Tallahassee dancers achieve a high level of dancing in a short period
of time.

Please refer to www.planet-tango.com for information about Alberto and
Valorie.

--------------------

This weekend of workshops focuses on the "milonga argentina" and "vals
cruzado", sister and brother of the Argentine tango.
These two characteristic rhythms complement the trilogy of music played

and danced at a tango dance party, a.k.a milonga. They add the
necessary variety to a well-rounded evening of tango dancing. The
milonga is playful and mischievous; the vals is elegant and romantic.
Their rhythms are rich with nuances and challenges.
BOOTCAMP participants will be presented with a complete set of typical
vals and milonga patterns broken down progressively from class to
class. Each session will be structured with elements of technique,
musicality and styling. Participants will be drilled and challenged
with plenty of practice time.
